Abstract

This case study investigated the clinical effect of guided bone regeneration (GBR) using Regenaform and Ossix membrane and the histology of the new bone that formed just under the membranes. Regenaform transplantation and covering with Ossix membrane were performed to repair bone defects around implants after implantation in three patients. After 3~4 months, the membranes were removed in a second operation, and a biopsy was taken under the membrane. The biopsies showed a bone density of 23~42%, and subsequent prosthetic treatments were successful in all cases.
